“How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.”

how we learn
We view learning as something that can happen anywhere, all the time. Here are some ways we like to learn in our homeschool, but these principles can be applied to any learning journey!
living books
Cozy read-aloud sessions together are a favorite part of everyone’s day! We use high quality picture and reference books to create a reading time that is beautiful, as well as informative.
out & about
We love adventures both near and far! The world is our classroom just as much as our home, and we enjoy playdates, field trips and nature walks, as well as learning sessions with our co-op.
hands on
We enjoy activities that involve the head, heart & hands. This means we do child-led art activities, experiments, nature inspection, baking, building, & playing games along with our worksheets.
For A Child
by Fannie Stearns Davis
Your friends shall be the tall wind, the river and the tree; the sun that laughs and marches, the swallows and the sea.
Your prayers shall be the murmur of grasses in the rain; the song of wildwood thrushes that makes God glad again.
And you shall run and wander, and you shall dream and sing of brave things and bright things beyond the swallow’s wings.
